28-Jul-2012 -- Meine Reise begann morgens um 06:30 als ich in einen Zug nach Köln gestiegen bin. Dort hatte ich Glück und konnte noch einen verspäteten Zug nach Hamm nutzen und hatte keinen Aufenthalt in Köln. Der von mir genutzte Zug hat jedoch eine längere Fahrtzeit als der ursprünglich geplante Zug und so ging mir dieser Zeitvorteil wieder verloren. In Hamm ging es dann mit der Eurobahn weiter nach Paderborn und dort dann mit der S-Bahn zum Bahnhof Schieder in der Stadt Schieder-Schwalenberg. Zehn Minuten nach der Ankunft dort ging es dann mit einem Bus nach Donop, einem Stadtteil der Stadt Blomberg.

Auf dem Weg von Schieder nach Donop setzte ein leichter Nieselregen ein und ich stieg an der Haltestelle Donop Lüdershof aus dem Bus aus und verließ den Ort in Fahrtrichtung des Busses, um zur Ostwestfalenstrasse zu kommen. Dieser Landstrasse bin ich etwa 100 m gefolgt bis zur ersten Strasse, die rechts abgeht. An Maisfeldern entlang ging es dann auf dieser Strasse zur Strasse Hagendonop, in die ich nach links abgebogen bin und der ich etwa 500 m leicht bergauf gefolgt bin. Der Nieselregen wurde unterdessen immer heftiger und ich wartete etwa eine halbe Stunde an der Haltestelle Hagendonop, an der vermutlich seit Jahren schon kein Bus mehr fährt, die aber glücklicherweise mit einem Wartehäuschen aufwarten kann, auf das Ende oder ein Nachlassen des Regens. Die Haltestelle liegt an der Stelle, an der man die Strasse Hagendonop nach rechts verlässt, um zum Konfluenzpunkt zu kommen. Als der Regen nachgelassen hatte, bin ich einem aspaltierten Weg gefolgt, der zu den Häusern Hagendonop 68 und 70 führt. Hinter einer lang gezogenen Kurve, die durch einen Wald an einem grünen Teich auf der linken Seite und einer Pferdekoppel auf der rechten Seite vorbei führt, ist kurz vor einer Lichtung ein Stein auf der linken Seite zu sehen, der auf den Konfluenzpunkt hinweist. An diesem Stein geht es links einen Feldweg hoch, der nach wenigen Metern zu einer Wiese und einem Maisfeld führt. Ich bin dann quer über die Wiese auf eine Baumgruppe zugegangen, in deren Nähe der Punkt liegt. Leider liegt der Punkt nicht auf der Wiese, sondern mitten im Maisfeld.

Ich habe mich dann zwischen der Baumgruppe und dem Maisfeld über den durch den Regen matschigen Boden hindurchgekämpft, bin aber nicht näher als 7 m an den Konfluenzpunkt herangekommen. Um die Photos zu schießen, habe ich die Kamera am ausgestreckten Arm nach oben gehalten, denn sonst hätte man auf den Bildern nur dreimal Mais und einmal Wald gesehen. Der Besuch war somit nur halb erfolgreich, da ich die genaue Position nicht erreicht habe. Ich werde im Herbst noch einmal versuchen, den genauen Punkt zu erreichen, wenn das Feld abgeerntet ist.

Nach etwa einer halben Stunde am Konfluenzpunkt musste ich mich beeilen, um meinen Bus für die Rückfahrt zu erreichen, der samstags nur alle zwei Stunden fährt. Nach einem Zwischenstopp in Paderborn mit einem Bummel über den an diesem Tag beginnenden Liborimarkt war ich abends um 8 Uhr wieder zuhause.

Das wäre der letzte Satz in diesem Bericht gewesen, wenn es keine Stellwerkstörung in Solingen gegeben hätte, die dafür gesorgt hat, dass der Zug nicht in Köln hält und über Düsseldorf umgeleitet wird und wenn es keinen Notarzteinsatz in Leverkusen gegeben hätte, der dafür gesorgt hat, dass der Zug von Düsseldorf in Richtung Köln auch umgeleitet wird und nicht am Hauptbahnhof hält, sondern nur in Köln Süd. Ein schwacher Trost war es dann für mich, dass mein Anschlusszug auch in Köln Süd hält. So war ich dann abends gegen halb 10 zuhause.

28-Jul-2012 -- My journey began at 06:30 in the morning when I got myself on a train to Cologne. There I could get a delayed train to Hamm and so I didn't have to wait half an hour in Cologne. But this train took another track to Hamm and I arrived at Hamm two minutes before the train I originally wanted to take. So the time benefit was lost and 15 minutes later I took another train to Paderborn and from there an S-Bahn to Hannover. I left the S-Bahn at the station Schieder in the town of Schieder-Schwalenberg. Ten Minutes later I took there a bus to Donop, a district of the town of Blomberg.

A light drizzle started on the way from Schieder to Donop and I left the bus in Donop Lüdershof. I left the village and walked northwest until I reached Ostwestfalenstraße and I followed this road still northwest for about 100 m and took the first road to the right, which is closed to traffic with the exception of farmers. The road leads through maize fields and I reached the street "Hagendonop", which is not only the street's name but also the name of this part of Blomberg. I followed the street Hagendonop uphill for about 500 m while the drizzle became heavier. An abondoned bus stop with a shelter shows that there must have been buses a few years ago that stopped in Hagendonop. I waited in this shelter for the rain to stop. After about half an hour the rain became less and I crossed the street Hagendonop to get to the houses Hagendonop 68 and 70. Having passed these houses of Hagendonop the road leads through a wood and walking along a green lake on the left side and a paddock on the right side, I came to a clearing and shortly before the clearing there is a stone on the left side indicating the confluence point. The position of the stone isn't exact and so I left the road and followed a path that leads to a meadow and a maize field after about 50m. I crossed this meadow in the direction of a group of trees and had to find out that the confluence point is near this group of trees, but not on the meadow but in the maize field.

The ground was quite muddy because of the rain and I tried to get to the confluence point by walking between the group of trees and the maize field. I didn't want to walk into the field and so I couldn't get any nearer than 7m to the confluence point. I took my camera and held it high above my head so that you can see more than maize and trees on the pictures. My visit was partly successful and I will try to get to this place again in autumn after the maize has been harvested so that I can get all the zeros in the position display.

After having spent about half an hour at the confluence point I had to hurry up to get my bus back to Schieder (on Saturdays these busses travel in intervals of 2 hours). On this day Libori started in Paderborn, a 9-day festival with about 1.5 millions of vistors each year and after strolling there I took a train back to Cologne and was at home at about 8 in the evening.

This would have been the last sentence of this report but due to a problem in a signal box near Solingen the train had to take another track and did not stop in Cologne but in Düsseldorf. There I had to take another train to Cologne but this train had to take another track as well due to an accident on the track that required an emergency doctor. This train could not stop at Cologne Central Station but at Cologne South. Ten minutes later I entered my last train of this day and was at home at about half past 10 in the evening.
