While driving from Cologne to Hamburg, I made a short detour to visit the famed "Externsteine" rock formations. This confluence point was not far away. I parked in the small village of Hagendonop and walked along a pretty country road towards the point. At about 175 meters from the point, I saw a plaque mounted to a stone noting (in German) that the confluence point was nearby. At this point I veered left onto a dirt path that took me across a field to the confluence point, which lies just within a wheat field.

It's clear that this confluence point is visited frequently, because there's a 'hole' in the wheat field (with a bare patch of dirt), exactly at the point.

In addition to the Externsteine, there's another noteworthy attraction nearby. In the small town of Lemgo, you can find the strangely designed home of schizophrenic architect Karl Junker. His home is now a museum (but unfortunately it was closed when I visited, so I was only able to photograph it from the outside).
