17-Oct-2015 -- Back in south western US to attend the ASA 2015 annual meeting in San Diego to present results from our team. ( www.asa.org ). As usual I saved a few days for a touristic round trip in California, Utah and Arizona. We choose to visit the 4 CP close to our itinerary : N35 W117, N37 W113, N36 W112, N36 W111.

We visited this first point after a short side trip north of Barstow. It was easy to locate fossil bed road and we parked our car some 1600 meters south west of the point. From there we walked a straight line through thorny bushes and joshua trees. Nothing to see in the area except the power line running north west of the point. We found the point tagged by a small dead wood pile and what looked like an machine gun ammunition box 6 meters north east of our own zero.
