24-Jul-2018 -- During the summer holidays direction Pyrenees I had the chance to visit some confluence points. On the way back to Germany I visited the confluence 44°N 5°E.

After a nice sightseeing trip through the city of Avignon we reached the area of the confluence point. From the road D942 we took the exit to the road D16, direction south east. Some meters later, in the village "Althen-des-Paluds", the GPS led on the road "Route de Pernes-les-Fontaines". 4 km after the end of the village you have the confluence on the left side of the road. The GPS showed 330 m from that point on the road. A dirt road leads quite straight to the aimed point. On a shady part of the road I found a parking place and started the walk by foot.

120 m later I reached the field with the CP on it. 117 m was the shown distance. Pumpkins were growing on this field. So I chose my way along the field edge. At luck the CP 44°N 5°E is located exact on the chosen field edge. After that visit we found a very quiet and comfortable campground in the nice place Monteux, located only 4 km in the north of the CP.

This was a very normal visit. It took place around 6 pm. It was very hot and nobody was to seen at the spot.
