05-Aug-2020 -- During our summer holidays along the coast of the North Sea, I took the chance to visit some confluence points. The story continues from
53°N 8°E visit #7.
We left the Autobahn A1 in the south of Bremen. At the Bremer Straße we reached the village Bierden. From the centre of the village we left the Bierdener Dorfstraße, drove Bierdener Marsch to the south and reached the dike. From here the GPS showed only 1.8 km to reach the confluence point. Now I followed the unpaved road slowly, drove around a former river course of the Weser and finally reached the dirt road, located next to the field, with the confluence on it. At luck this field was harvested already. But it was surrounded by a barbed wire fence. It was really hot and the ground was very dusty. So I preferred to walk around it. After reaching the exact spot, I could take the necessary pictures for a successful visit. During my walk back to the car I could see how a farmer in a tractor drove to our car and did a picture of it. I reached him and he pointed out that this way is forbidden for public traffic. After I explainined my hobby, he finally assured to desist from going to the local authorities.
This was the last visit of this vacation.
