16-Oct-2026 -- After a few days cycling and hiking around and near Oberndorf with my son and his uncle, who was visiting from the UK, we decided to do a shortish bike ride to end the week. Michael decided he needed a rest so what to do? I realised that my and Michael's first ever CP in 2004 was only around 10km away and that Heny had never been there. So we had a destination.

We set off just after midday, visited the Silent Night museum church on the way and arrived near the CP at 13:00. We searched out the lady at the farmhouse near the CP to confirm it was ok to cycle on the private property - it was indeed ok and any risk was ours - I think all future visitors should do this.

So we rolled down the steep hill to the hunters lookout and walked the short distance to the CP. As you can see from the photos it was a gorgeous day. The usual photos were taken and we retraced our ride back up the hill and continued North as far as Ibm before heading South back to Oberndorf.

This was my 3rd visit to this CP and Heny's first visit there so congratulations to him on his 4th ever CP visit.
