30-Mar-2002 -- I got up early visiting relatives in Bakersfield and headed to Mojave before sunlight. It is easy to find. About 10.5 miles east of Mojave off hwy 58 you will find a dirt road on the right. Take this about 1 mile to another dirt road to the right and the confluence is about 1/2 mile. The first dirt road is next to a fence that is marked US Military installation. I made the mistake and went too far east and went into the base. The guards with machine guns didn't want me around so I headed back and found the dirt road I discribed.
