05-May-2005 -- A visit to N 41 W74. The confluence has intrigued me since I visited N 44 W 72 last summer. There is a geocache located there. I loved it! So, I planned a visit to a nearby Confluence, and hid a geocache there. I picked N 41 W 74, in the Hackensack River Watershed, above the Oradell Reservoir, in Old Tappan, NJ. I set out with my caching partner, Jesus Villegas. Reading the posts here, we chose to enter from the north. The trails were easy to find, and led us to within 180’ of the confluence. Due to the tree cover, the signals bounced about quite a bit. It took a half hour to get the blurry picture showing ten zeroes. I did get seven or nine nice pictures showing the coordinates .001 off. I have posted one here. Looking at the photos that others have posted here, we all seem to agree to within thirty feet.
