04-Apr-2008 -- Another already-been-chewed Confluence Point. After leaving the utterly unimpressive CP near Washington (39N-77W), I noticed that we’d be passing close to 41N-74W on our drive through New Jersey up to New Hampshire. So, we figured we’d go take a look. The CP was out back of some suburban house, and no one was home. We left a note on the door that we were walking to a point near the river out behind their home and hoped they wouldn’t mind. Pretty easy walk through open woods until one comes across “41N 74W” carved into a tree. We checked the GPS just to make sure no one was trying to mislead us ;) and confirmed that indeed that was the Confluence Tree.
