21-Jun-2009 -- How do you get people interested in visiting CP's? Well organise a road trip and from Oxford to Moscow, making sure you pass a couple of CP's on the way. That's exactly what I did this Summer.
The first CP we visited was a relatively easy one on the second day of our trip to Moscow, we had spent the morning looking around the WW1 battlefields near Ypres in Belgium before heading off after lunch towards our next overnight stay, Amsterdam.
This was about a 250km and took about 2.5 hours to drive up to the CP, which is close to Amsterdam, it was an easy one as it was just off the main highway at a junction of two roads at a roundabout. We parked the car just before the CP off the road, not to get in anyone's way and the three of us walked to the CP, I am not sure what the others thought of it, they had heard me talking about these points at work for awhile.
We saw a few different birds in the area, Sean is interested in birds and we tried to get a few photo's with out any luck, it was starting to get on time wise and we wanted to push on to Amsterdam to have a couple of days in this exciting city so we left the area with a successful CP under our belts.
