On the way to visiting relatives near Dorsten I used the chance to visit one more Confluence Point. I left the motorway A7 near Homberg, passed Schwalmstadt and reached the CP by coming through Gemünden.
The Confluence Point ‘51N-09E’ is located in a forest. It is not too easily accessible. After turning from quite a big track into a smaller one you have to leave this logger track after 100 meters and walk about 200 meters though quite narrow growing trees. But that was not a problem. It was dry the last few days so that I had no problems with muddy ground. But I didn’t find all the zeros on the display. I tried it for more than 15 minutes but the numbers jumped like hell. It was a bad reception, caused by the trees.
The car was parked at a distance of about 600 meters from the CP at a T-junction south of the CP-forest.
After that CP visit I had to hurry up for reaching my relatives in time. Arisen there I celebrated my little ‘round’ anniversary: one dozen CP-visits!
