01-Apr-2010 -- Another month, another journey, another visit.

I am in the area, passing within about 3 miles of this point, so it is literally just a 10 minute detour out of my way.

I hadn't brought my boots as I wasn't expecting to pass by quite this closely, so I had to walk in wearing my ordinary shoes. Shame then that it was quite wet underfoot and in areas the ground was quite soggy...

I navigated the worst of the sodden ground, hopping over a small stream, instead of going another 100 yards and just walking through the gate.

The grass is short as Spring hasn't really arrived yet, while I was there a bunch of holiday makers passed by overhead. Far too high of course to be considered visitors.
