26-Nov-2010 -- On my way to see relatives in the far West of Germany (Dorsten) I took the chance to visit two confluence points. The first one was the more complicated one, the CP 51N 8E, near Littfeld.
I approached, coming from the Southeast, by taking the highway A45 and later A4, direction east. After taking the exit ‘Krombach’, I followed the roads No. 54 and later 517. Then I reached Littfeld and turned right, into the ‘Grubenstraße’, passed through the rails. After a distance of about 500 metres I took a dirt way left into the forest. Further 400 metres are to drive and then I parked the car near an old closed mining gallery. I am not sure about it, maybe it is a well. Opposite the well is a little shed.
Now it was a way of about 250 metres by foot along an existing path. After 150 metres I had to cross a little creek and found the location of the CP. I crossed the stubbed area and arrived at 40 minutes past four at the confluence point.
It was already getting dark. So I used a tree to hold the camera still. In spite of the dusk, the pictures were quite ok. In the far distance I heard the voices of woodworkers.
Apart from the temperature, it was an easily performed visit of a confluence point.
