08-Aug-2001 -- Our first attempt to reach the confluence started from the north. We parked the car at the road in about 3km distance and walked through some vineyards. After climbing up a hill we found ourselves stopped by very dense forest only 1.5km from the confluence.
Back in the car we decided to try it from a different location. Unfortunately, the road took us in a circle around the confluence in a distance of 2.5-3km without the possibility of driving closer. However, facing the exit to Port-La-Nouvelle we found a parking at the beginning of a marked round-path which lead in the right direction.
At the second crossing we decided not to follow the round-path but to take the other direction as it seemed to be closer to the direction of the confluence. However, the path ended in a vineyard, so we had to climb up a hill and walk over rocky terrain, just to find us back on the round-path.
A bit wiser, we followed this path to the ruin of an old farm, 300m from the confluence. The trees at both sides of the driveway were still standing, but the road had become overgrown by the sparse vegetation and the ruin was covered with brambles.
As there was no direct way to the confluence we decided that now would be the right time to leave the path and fight our way over the rocky terrain covered by low but dense vegetation. Luckily we were wearing long pants so we only got few scratches.
While we were getting closer the whistling sound of the large wind-generators that were standing next to the confluence became louder. When we arrived at the point we again had to find out that it was only 20 meters from the path we had left before.
