18-Oct-2003 -- Quise visitar un punto de confluencia desde Pto Ordaz, estado BOLIVAR a uno en el estado MONAGAS muy cerca de un pueblito llamado LA BECERRA, así que salí muy temprano vía al punto.

Después de cruzar el rió Orinoco vía al punto de confluencia, me conseguí un amigo (José) que lleve a mi aventura, donde después de 14 Km. se me daño el caucho delantero y pase 5 horas arreglando el carro.

Pero no perdimos las ganas de ir al CP, así que continuamos y nos encontramos cerca de u campo petrolero y al otro lado un campo de pinos con muchas vías de acceso las cuales se usan para sacar el cultivo de pinos. Llegamos desde la vía principal a 1,7 Km. del CP donde nos desviamos a otra vía no muy buena pero seguimos, hasta cerca de 1 Km. del CP.

José y yo continuamos caminando hasta el punto, y llegamos muy cerca justo en el punto pero no sirve el GPS por haber un techo de pinos pero cerca si tenemos señal del GPS a 67 mt. Durante la caminata mucho sol.

No hay mucho alrededor, solo pinos y más pinos, también una torre de observación en caso de fuego en el sembradío de pinos

Luego lleve a mi compañero José a su destino un pueblito cercano llamado BARRANCAS.

Die Fahrt begann mit der Überquerung des ORINOCO bei San Felix und endete jäh, etwa 14 km später, mit einer Reifenpanne. Bedingt durch die dadurch verursachten Schäden an der Elektrik konnte ich die Fahrt erst nach ca. 5 Stunden fortsetzen (Dank den hilfsbereiten Passanten).

Pinien und nichts als Pinien. Nach einer Fahrt durch die Ölfelder der Provinz MONAGAS fanden wir eine Strasse in das Dorf „LA BECERRA“. Vierzehn Kilometer ehemalige Teerstrasse mit riesigen Schlaglöchern und Sandfeldern durch einen künstlich angelegten Pinienwald.

Jedoch brachte uns diese Strasse bis zu 1,7 km an den Konfluenzpunkt heran. Wir versuchten noch eine Sandstrasse, aber in einer Entfernung von ca. 1km gaben wir auf und machten uns zu Fuß auf den Weg.

Trotz des angenehmen Weges machte uns die sengende Hitze zu schaffen. Der CP selbst hatte nichts Aufregendes zu bieten. Junge Pinien unterteilt mit Sandwegen zwecks Bewirtschaftung. Man kann viele Spuren von Hasen sehen. Es gibt auch Zufahrttrassen zu Ölfeldern.

In der Nähe befindet sich ein Beobachtungsturm für Waldbrände. Jose, nahm als Autostopper an der Sache teil und war sehr interessiert. Vor allen das Versprechen, ihn nachher direkt nach Hause zu fahren, spornte ihn an.

After crossing the river ORINOCO by ferry the trip was sudden interrupted by a puncture. This accident caused damage the car wiring and halted the journey for five hours (Thanks to friends of the road).

Pine trees and nothing else than pine trees. After we crossed the oil fields in the province MONAGAS we found a road towards the village of “LA BECERRA”. Fourteen kilometers of a former tar road with enormous bumps and huge sand fields through the artificial planted pine forest.

However this road brought us up to 1,7 km to the point of confluence. We tried another sand track, but at a distance of approx. 1km we gave up and decided to walk further on. Despite the nice path the burning sun hit us hard. The CP does not offer exciting views. Young pine trees divided into plots with sandy paths in order to allow cultivation works. You may see many traces of hares. There are also access roads to oilfields nearby.

An observation tower for fire control is situated close to the CP. Jose, participated, as hitchhiker was very interested. A least the promise to drive him home afterwards, spurred him.
