On sunny Saturday during our holidays in Niechorze I decided to visit a nearby 54N 15E confluence, lying only 12 km away as the crow flies. Via Karnice and Niedysz I came to the village of Niczonów and there turned into a dirt road heading south. Among fields and then through a forest I covered ca. 2200 m. When the road came out of the forest GPS showed that there was less than 200 m to the confluence. There were oat fields on both sides of the road.

I parked the car, returned to the edge of the forest and circled the field around on its north side coming to the north-east corner. From there I headed south. There were many paths crossing the field; initially I thought that the confluence point was visited so frequently, but after a while I figured out that that these were wild animals’ tracks. The fact that it was their feeding ground was proven by a raised hide standing at the edge of the forest. I easily found the „zero” point and due to the cloudless sky the accuracy of GPS readings was 5 m. I returned to the car following the same way and went further to the south-west, coming back to the civilization (i.e. an asphalt road) in the village of Gostyniec. A sudden downpour caught me there, but fortunately it didn’t last long and it cleared up soon.

Słoneczną sobotę podczas wakacji w Niechorzu postanowiłem przeznaczyć na odwiedziny pobliskiego przecięcia 54N 15E, odległego w linii prostej o zaledwie 12 km. Przez Karnice i Niedysz dojechałem do wsi Niczonów i tu skręciłem w polną drogę prowadzącą na południe. Początkowo pomiędzy polami, a później lasem przejechałem ok. 2200 m. Gdy las się skończył GPS wskazał, że do przecięcia jest mniej niż 200 m. Po obu stronach drogi rozciągały się pola owsa.

Zaparkowałem samochód, cofnąłem się do skraju lasu i obchodząc pole od północy dotarłem do jego wschodniego skraju. Stąd skierowałem się na południe. Przez pole prowadziły liczne ścieżki, początkowo sądziłem, że być może to przecięcie jest tak licznie odwiedzane, ale po chwili zorientowałem się, że są to ścieżki wydeptane przez zwierzęta. O tym, że zapewne chętnie tu żerują świadczyła ambona myśliwska stojąca na skraju lasu. Bez trudności odnalazłem punkt „0”, a dzięki bezchmurnemu niebu uzyskałem dokładność 5 m. Tą samą droga wróciłem do samochodu i pojechałem dalej na południowy-zachód, wracając do cywilizacji (czyli asfaltowej drogi) we wsi Gostyniec. Tu złapała mnie gwałtowna, ale na szczęście krótka ulewa, po której znów się wypogodziło.
