05-Aug-2015 -- The confluence point 54N 15E is located about 9 kilometers south of the Baltic Sea coastline, in a field.

During the summer holidays we go through through the peninsula Usedom, in the direction of Kołobrzeg (Kolberg) in Poland. Many beautiful white beaches are located on this coast. Of course many tourist activities take place there.

At the cities Dziwnów, Mrzeżyno, Dźwirzyno, Kolberg, and all the little places and camp-grounds in-between many tourists have fun. This stands in a strong contrast to the visit to the confluence 54N 15E, because after leaving the coastal street 102 near Pobierowo, heading south, the traffic disappears and no people can be seen anymore!

Bypassing the village of Gostyń, an interesting way to lock post boxes was seen - they use padlocks. After arriving at Gostyniec we took the way, heading east, shown by the GPS. It leads through a forest and some fields. The car was parked near a container base, in use by a forest company. Now the walk began and we heard a quite uncommon noise: sounds of two cranes! But unfortunately the two big birds stood too far away for a good picture.

After taking the junction to the left, as described by the visitor before, I reached the correct path, leading to the CP-field. Soon I saw a raised hide which should be very close to the CP. In a distance of exact 100 m, still on the path, I took the picture of the location. Now I walked through the uncultivated field and soon I found the exact confluence point 54N 15E!

This CP is very easy to reach, apart from some little scratches caused by thistles. It is a beautiful green and quiet location.
