17-Mar-2007 -- We are in Stoke-on-Trent for the weekend to celebrate my wife's parents Golden Wedding (50 years) anniversary. We came up yesterday for a family get together which ended up with us going out for a lovely meal.
My wife has been planning this for months and so today was a "down" day to relax and unwind. Faced with a choice of doing nothing much at all - which was fairly attractive I must admit - or getting out into the fresh air, the outdoors won.
From Stoke you can take in the local point in the farmer's yard or head out to a corner of a field. Both are in flat terrain and not much (or any in fact) challenge.
West it was then, this point being the trivial one, you almost have to drive past it...
Pull in and park and hop over the fence [Note to Phil, it is *over* the fence!] and click off the photo's. I had a nice chat with a local resident who remembered someone stopping by about a year ago.
Just to prove you can do this point while sitting in the car, see here.
