27-Aug-2003 --
On our way to my first confluence point. We visited friends in Rossett the day before and before we drove up north to Scotland (the destination of our holiday) I wanted to visit this very easy to reach confluence point.
It was only a short journey and after taking several wrong turns I finaly found the right road and set out armed with GPS. The GPS unit had trouble locking into the satellites because of the thick layers of trees on both sides of the small road which prevented a clear view of the sky. So, the best I got was an accuracy of 19 metres.
I eventually found the spot to be somewhere on the middle of the road.
My first confluence point, 645 km from home, was a fact!
