15-Jul-2000 -- I had planned to do 53N0W/E but the weather forecast was
pretty poor for the eastern side of England so we set off for Wales instead. Looking at
the map this looked like it might be the most interesting confluence I'd yet been to.
Potential rolling views up to the foothills of Snowdon, time will tell.
Jonathan had opted for an afternoon of rock guitar so I tool 4 year old Josh' instead.
The journey to the confluence was uneventful, if somewhat longer than than I had been
used to.
The site itself was right by the side of the road in the village (hamlet really) of Gyfelia,
3 miles S of Wrexham, Clwyd, N Wales. No views to Snowdon but a superb summers
afternoon with blue skies and fluffy cumulus clouds skating by. 4 pictures in the bag,
no hassle, another one knocked off; perfect.
