25-Dec-2024 -- During the Christmas holidays we decided to visit this point since the kids discovered the Confluence project and were eager to make a visit. Getting to this point was easy since it is only a few kilometers from the nearest motorway exit. We parked the car at the resting place below the confluence point and walked a few hundred meters along a forest track. The track brought us to within 40 meters of the confluence point. Since it was quite foggy and wet on the day we decided to not enter the field to get all zeros and stayed on the track. After the confluence visit we went to Point Alpha, a nearby Cold War observation point on the former border between East and West Germany.
