#1: The village of Blankenbach - view to the north from the confluence

12-Mar-2003 -- We visited this confluence on a windy, overcast day with the threat of rain hanging over us. Our destination was nearby Eisenach so we decided to stop at this confluence on the way. The confluence is only four kilometers north of the A4 autobahn and only 200 meters from the road in a large field that is on a hillside. Most conveniently, there is a dedicated parking area at the bottom of the hill.

This was Michael's first confluence. It can only be hoped that he does not think that all confluences are as easy to reach as this one!
