27-May-2001 -- I reached the confluence via the small town of Ringethal. From there a good road brings you to Mittweida. About half way to Mittweida the confluence is several meters into a rape-seeds field. The huge field of yellow flowers is beautiful and hard to miss.
An interesting fact of the German topo maps is that they are cut exactly along the lat- and longitude lines. Thus, to get a really good idea of the area around the confluence one would need to buy all four. Luckily the maps use a different datum - the Potsdam datum. This positions the confluence nicely in the bottom left corner of the top right map of such a set.
The four shots in all direction are pretty boring so I submitted some pictures of the area around confluence N51 E13.
